Color Challenge #3

Dawn McVey posted her third color challenge and picked these happy colors:

I used stamps from Papertrey and card stock from my scrapbook supplies. I ordered a couple colors of card stock from Papertrey to check it out and now I am gonna have to order more because it is quality stuff. I also used their inks and then embossed. I stamped the flower twice, then cut them in half to make one. The brads came in little packs from Target. The card is for my mom. I have to send her some boring paperwork. Boring paperwork is always better inside a happy card.

I also made this card for my baby away at college. I again used Papertrey stamps (around and about sentiments) and die cuts from k and co.

And this one I used Around and about sentiments with Guide Lines 2. I just stamped randomly and messy then punched out the scalloped flower. Then punched a partial stamp for the round part inside the flower and used pop dots. Have a great week!

Card for Alzheimers Auction

Hi.
Jen Tapler has requested cards on her blog to auction off with the money going to help fight Alzheimers disease.
One lucky person will win some "blog candy".

We had a family friend that suffered from this cruel disease so here is my card. I will make more and send them in a couple days.

If you are interested in helping out, here is her blog address:

I am new to cardmaking and hope this will be ok. I like how it turned out.

I used my new Papertrey Beyond Border stamps for the tree and sentiment and some clear stamps from Michael's for the bird and circle around the hello. I got a new EK Success border punch from Michael's and punched the holes then threaded through them with embroidery floss.

I punched holes in the branches and put in some brads that I got from Target. I used pop-dots to raise the scallop punched sentiment.

Up close.

And inside.I hope you like it.

Welcome

Hi.This is my new blog. I am new to card making. It started in November when I made a card for my daughter who is away at college. Then, I made another in December. And now it has become my new hobby. It is way faster to make a card than a scrapbook page and it if fun.

Here are a few of my "older cards". (since January)

I liked the sparkle on this one

For KaylaThis one was weak.

This one was for my mom's birthday
