Moxie Fab Color Challenge- Neutrals

This challenge was to use neutral colors. Here are the ones that were chosen for us to use..

I love these colors. They seem  so peaceful to me.
For my card, I used a new (to me) stamp set from Claudine Hellmuth that I bought from 2Peas. I colored it with Copic markers and purposefully attached it to the card a little wonky. :-) The clouds are cut with  Papertrey Ink dies and the sentiment is from their set called Flutterby Friend.

I finished the card by rounding off the corners with a Corner Chomper. I really like these colors and think I will use them again soon!  Thanks for stopping by!

Moxie Fab Color Challenge - Metallics

The Moxie Fab Blog has some great color challenges going on and yesterday, I decided to play a little and get some cards made. Here I am today uploading them instead of doing laundry! Shame on me. haha

Anyway, for the Metallic challenge these were the colors we got to play with...

Gold, White and Pinkini! I love the name Pinkini! Here is my card...

I used Papertrey dies for the flowers and the wood grain impression plate on the background. I cut the Bazzil Pinkini frame with a Spellbinders Nestibillities die and stamped the sentiment with gold ink from My Minds Eye. I added the ribbon (free with a purchase made at American Eagle's store Aerie! :))
A couple pearls and rounded corners finish it off.

I love the way it sparkles! Thanks for stopping by!

Moxie Fab Color Challenge - Jewel Tones

Here are the colors for the Jewel Tone Color Challenge...

And here is my card....

This card was so much fun to make! It has a purple base. I used a scalloped edge paper trimmer on Sugar Cookie white paper and stamped the housewife (October Afternoon). I stamped her again on a couple sticky notes and cut her out. Covering her on the card, I then stamped the background with a bunch of little kitchen stamps. I paper pieced her dress and stamped and cut out the apron too. I added a scalloped collar and underskirt. I Added the frame and whisk with foam tape.
I am going to send this to my daughter (who is away at college) with a big batch of homemade cookies!

Moxie Fab Color Challenge- Bright and Bold

The challenge at the Moxie Fab Blog(  http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2011/01/color-inspiration-for-card-makers-week.htmlis ) is to create with these colors:

Here is the card I made...

I used Bazzil cardstock :Beetle Black Lily White Pink Fairy and Tangelo Blast
I cut strips of the orange and pink and sewed them onto white. I cut 4 white frames with a Sizzix die and stuck them together (for the look of chipboard) and backed it with black. I stamped the Lawn Fawn telephone and embossed it with white. I stamped the hello in black and added the flower and button. I also doodled the squiggles with black gel pen for the look of the cord.  These are probably not colors that I would normally choose to work with, but I really like how it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey Jan2011 Blog Hop

This month's blog hop is all about using your stamps that have been neglected and just taking up space for too long. I looked through my stamps and was disappointed to see there were actually several that I haven't used yet! And that doesn't even consider the new ones that I got in the mail yesterday! So I quickly decided...who needs to do laundry and clean the house when these stamps need my attention today! Not me!!!
Laundry will be the neglected one today! Yay!

I got Tiny Treats Valentines several months ago but haven't used it other than to stamp it in my organizing book. SO..I made this....
I used Sweet Blush cardstock along with some Happy Spots patterned paper. I colored the owl with Copics. I stamped the circle frame with Sweet Blush ink onto White and then cut the circle with a scallop scissors. Then I used a piercing tool to add the holes around the circle.

I also purchased the Trademarks stamp set many months ago and am pretty sure it hasn't been used either! Here is the card I just made...
I stamped several labels each 3 times in chocolate ink onto a piece of dotted paper from the Library Ledger paper pack.I did a bit of masking. Then I sewed around the edge.  I used the die from the tea set to cut the center label and a circle punch for the top one. I popped up the center label with some foam tape and was done!

I can't wait to see what everybody else has been up to but am going to have to wait just a bit longer because I have an eye appointment in about half an hour! But when I get back I will definitely be hopping to everyone else's blogs! Thanks for visiting!

Hero Arts Facebook Challenge

Hello! I haven't had much time recently for making cards but when I saw on Facebook that Hero Arts was having a challenge for 1/11/11, I thought I'd give it a shot. The challenge is to create a one layer card. The winner gets one of the new 2011 Classic Fabric Design Stamps! It is gorgeous! Anyway, here is my card..
I stamped the bunny, grass, heart and sentiment first, then covered them with masks and stamped the clouds over it. I have seen the new catalog and there are so many cool new stamps! Thanks Hero Arts for motivating me to get stamping again! It was fun!
