Papertrey September Blog Hop
Today is the 25th so that means it's Blog Hop time! I just finished my cards and can't wait to go see what everybody else created! This month's challenge was to create a card with a wreath! I am a procrastinator so I didn't want to go with Christmas just yet. I like to wait til after Halloween before I even think about Christmas! But then, I didn't want to make a Halloween wreath either, so I went with a Fall/ Thanksgiving Thankyou card! I used Autumn Pattern Pieces for the background. Birds and Blooms for the wreath and Bells and Boughs for the bow. The sentiment is from Everyday Photo Finishers.

Papertrey Blog Hop August 2013
This month's Blog Hop is a Fast Food Color and Sketch Challenge. There were six photos to choose from and be inspired by. I planned on making cards inspired by all of them but ended up only having time to make two!
Those cookies looked so good! I thought the colors would make a good coffee themed card...
I used the Heart to Heart #1 stamp set.
For my next card, I chose to work with this photo...
I love the Rosie Rosey stamp set and created this set of cards...
I still want to get to all the other sketches and feel like I have enough inspiration to last a long long time!

Papertrey Blog Hop July 2013
This month's Blog Hop challenge is to be inspired by the "Fruits of Summer" color schemes and use either a portion or all of the colors in a particular scheme. I chose this one...
I bought every color of ink from Papertrey right before they discontinued the formula and I cannot buy them all again in the new formula. So I substituted the Hero Arts colors Butterbar, Green Hills, Soft Cantaloupe and the Scattered Straw Distress Ink. I also added some Delicata Gold Ink. I used one of my favorite stamp sets Pretty Peonies and the Background Basics: Chevrons
Wow! Blogging twice in a week! I am on a roll! LOL Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Week 2 Day 5 Online Card Class
Using the Week 2 additional Color Combos, I made this card. I was very inspired by the way Kelly Rasmussen created her card! I never thought to stamp out all my sentiments and then play around with the arrangement! Pure genius! LOL! I used the 1st color combo... and used Hero Arts Mid Tone Shadow Inks. (Tide Pool, Pale Tomato, Orange Soda, and Green Hills) I used several sentiments from Papertrey Ink stamp sets. The only caution I might give you is to be careful not to use too many sets and not put them back right away! It took me forever to find which stamps went with which sets because I took so many out! After stamping, I went back and stamped many again and added clear embossing powder for some shine. I also added Glossy Accents on the stars and candles and added dimension with foam tape.
I had a lot of fun creating this card and plan to make many more in different combos and colors! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
Week 2 Day 4 Online Card Class
Stretch Your Holiday Product Challenge.....
I love getting more use out of my stamps so this challenge was a fun one for me! I used a Papertrey Ink stamp set called Vintage Ornaments Additions for this card. I used the cluster of three little stars to stamp a random pattern on my cream cardstock. I used the colors from this week also. I used Distress Inks in Shabby Shutters and Mowed Lawn. For the accent stars, I used Gathered Twigs ink and then covered them with Glossy Accents. The banners were cut with Double Ended Banner dies from Papertrey Ink.
I finished the card by adding a little stitching, foam tape under the banners and rounding the corners. That's it! Have a great day!
Testing, testing 123..
I have not posted anything since FEBUARY!!! I am dusting off the old blog because I am taking an Online Card Class and have been busy working on my "homework" and will share it here! First I would like to thank Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner for putting these classes together! They, along with all the guest teachers, are so inspiring and I have learned so much from all of them! This first card was made for the Pre Class Challenge #2. (The gallery is obviously closed now that we are on the third week but I thought I would share it here.)
I gathered up my camera stamps, and stamped them in black on the pattern paper. I stamped the sentiment on the frame and cut it out. Placed it on the card with foam tape. I also popped up one of the cameras and added a heart jewel.
This next card was made with the color combination from week one. White, aqua blue, yellow, red, and orange. I used Hero Arts inks Tide Pool, Butterbar, Pale Tomato, and Orange Soda. I used this cute stamp set from Lawn Fawn with the Photo Finish Strips Die from Papertrey Ink. It gives the card some fun texture!
I am having so much fun in this class http://onlinecardclasses.com/summercardcamp2/!

Papertrey's Feb 2013 Blog Hop
The challenge for this month's Blog Hop is to create something with a monogram. Nichole shared some beautiful examples...and for some reason, Blogger won't let me put it where I want it! Sooo...it is way up there^^^^^
Anyway, here is my card...
Also, way up there^^^^
Ugh! I move it, and it moves itself back up there. I am done trying and I apologize for this post.
I used Ocean Tides cardstock and stamped it with A Little Argyle. I also stamped A Little Agyle on the Fillable Frames #1 background of the frame. The M's are from Fresh Alphabet and the cute little bear is from Baby Button Bits. (I masked his feet and nose and also stamped A Little Argyle on his body) You can click on it to see it larger! Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink Watercolor #2
My second card tonight uses Year of Flowers: Mums and the sentiment is from Over Under Easy.
I smeared ink on a plastic sheat, added water, and then dropped my paper down on it and mooshed it around. After I dried it (with a heat gun) I stamped my images. Quick and easy...and fun! Click on it to see it larger!
Papertrey Watercolor #1
Today's challenge at the Papertrey Ink Blog was to make a card using a watercolor technique. I got a late start and just finished 2 quick cards. I was surprised at how quickly this card was finished. Less than 10 minutes!
I used Year of Flowers Roses on watercolor paper and then embossed it with the backside of the Linen Texture Plate. It is mounted with foam tape onto a Sweet Blush card base. Click on it to see it larger!

Papertrey Color Challenge #5
This is my 5th and last card tonight! Here is the Papertrey color combo...
and here is my card...
No stamping on this one! Wow! I think that is a first for me! Lots of color and I love my dies! I think I will need to stamp something on the inside though!
Papertrey Color Challeng #4
For my fourth card today, I chose to use Papertrey's 5th color combo...
and here is my card...
I stamped the Butterfly Dreams butterflies with Scarlet Jewel ink. I also used Fillable Frames #1. The background panel is embossed with the Argyle Impression Plate. Another color combo I wouldn't have chosen but turned out that I liked it a lot!
Papertrey Color Challenge #3
This is my 3rd post today! Papertrey Ink is hosting a fun color challenge today. Color challenges are alway difficult for me. I look at the colors and think to myself.."I would NEVER have thought to use these colors together! haha then I make a HUGE mess trying to pull something together! And although they are difficult, it IS still fun and sometimes I am suprised at the results! Anyway, here is the next color combo that I worked with...(I actually skipped 1 and this is their 4th combo)
And here is my card....
This is a case where I would definately not have chosen these colors. I added a lot of white to brighten it up a little and ended up really liking it! I used the wood impresion plate for the background and Butterfly Dreams and Everyday Photo Finishers for the sentiment.
Papertrey Color Challenge #2
Here is my 2nd post today. Here is the 2nd color combo from Papertrey Ink that I chose to work with...
and here is my card...
I used Polka Dot Basics to white emboss the background. I Stamped the cake from Tremendous Treats: Birthday and colored it with Copic Markers. I cut it out with a Fillable Frames die and added the sentiment also.It is popped up with foam tape and I love to round my corners! :-)
Papertrey Color Challenge #1
Today, on the Papertrey Blog they have a fun color challenge! I completed 5 out of the 6 color schemes and had much fun making them! It is way more fun than laundry! Anyway, here is the first color combo...
and here is my card...
I used the Pretty Peonies stamp set along with the dies. I used white embossing powder to soften the look. The sentiment is stamped in grey ink and the backround is embossed with the Herringbone Texture Plate.I also rounded the upper corners. That's it, pretty simple. I needed to keep things pretty simple so I could have enough time to make 5 cards today! Ok, off to my next post...

Papertrey Ink Sketch Challenge #5
Wow! I can't believe I made 5 cards today along with 5 blog posts! I think I look forward more to Papertrey Ink's anniversary festivities more than Valentine's Day! It is so much fun participating in all the challenges! (although I did miss a few this year because I have been so busy) Today's sketches were great! They are all designed by Nichole Heady and this is the 5th one...
and here is my last card for today...
I stamped 6 little cupcakes from The Cupcake Collection along the bottom and colored them in with fun colors using Copic Markers. The background is Vintage Cream cardstock. I didn't want to cover my cupcakes so I placed the sentiment right above them. For my little flag, I used the Loopsy Daisy die and trimmed off one little loop of it. I put a little star brad through the hole and attached the whole thing with foam tape. I added Stickles glitter to the frosting and Glossy Accents to the stars. I finished it off by rounding the corners. Whew! It's been a long day! Fun, but long! I hope you enjoyed your weekend! I am looking forward to whatever is next at Papertrey Ink and can't wait to see what else they have in store for us!
Papertrey Ink Sketch Challenge #4
My fourth post today! Here is the 4th sketch created by Nichole Heady...(and my favorite!)
And here is my card...
I needed a baby card for my niece who is expecting and due any minute! I cut the ribbon edge with a die from Fabulous Frames Die Collection, using Kraft cardstock. I sewed it to a strip of Rustic Cream cardstock and stamped the adorable elephant from Tremendous Treats: Birthday. He is colored with a light grey Copic Marker and yellow for the star. The sentiment is from Pretty Peonies. IRan the top edge through my BigShot with the Linen Impression Plate, along with an Ocean Tides piece and the backround Rustic Cardstock and a smaller flag. I sewed the top part flat but popped up the lower portion with foam adhesive. I added a punched heart and rounded corners to finish it off.
Papertrey Ink Sketch Challenge #3
This is my 3rd post today! I had fun today creating cards for Papertrey Ink's Sketch Challenge. This is the 3rd sketch created by Nichole Heady...
...and here is my card...
For this card, I used Around and About Sentiments stamped in black on top of stripes created with Background Basics: Super Stripes. I also cut a cupcake from the Cupcake Collection and colored it with Copic markers and added Stickles glitter. (I puposely left some white spaces showing on the cupcake. wanted a sloppy cupcake :-) ) I added some buttons and popped up the panel with foam adhesive. And that's it!
